Hilber, Geralyn Marie (28 NOV 1970)

Saturday, November 28, 1970, Geralyn Marie Hilber became the bride of Seaman Mark Kenneth Marcott. The Rev. Frank Rushman officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.

Sister Patricia played the organ and accompanied Barbara Meyer, who sang "One Hand, One Heart," "Ave Maria" and "Sunrise, Sunset."

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Hilber Sr. of Colby and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Marcott of Dorchester are the parents of the couple.

Barbara Davel of Milwaukee was the matron of honor for her sister. Other attendants were her friends, Karen Huth of Germantown and Donna Lamont of Colby.

Performing the ushering duties were Alex Hilber Jr., Marshfield, the bride's brother, and Ted Goerg, the groom's cousin, also of Marshfield.

The white empire floor length gown of the bride was of taffeta trimmed in Venice lace. Her long mantilla style veil was of two layers of tulle, the outer layer trimmed with the same lace as the dress. Her colonial style bouquet was made of red roses, lilies of the valley and white carnations. Pink velvet ribbons streamed from the bouquet.

The attendants wore cranberry floor length velvet dresses with empire style bodices. Their headpieces of petals held three layers of cranberry tulle. They each carried three long stemmed pink roses tied in pink and red violet ribbons.

Guests honored the couple at a reception, dinner and dance at the Memorial Hall in Dorchester.

The bride graduated from Colby High School in 199 and attended the Wisconsin State University in Eau Claire. She has been employed as a dental assistant in Colby.

The groom, presently in the Navy, graduated in 1968 from Colby High School. He also graduated from the North Central Technical Institute in Wausau in 1970.

They will be living in Pensacola, Florida while he is in the Navy.
