Services for Henry Geiger, 79, formerly of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), were held at 11 a.m. January 16th, 1975 at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in Owen. Mr. Geiger was found dead of natural cause at his home in the Black River View Apartments around 11:30 a.m. Monday.

The Rev. Robert H. Sullivan, pastor of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee, conducted the services. Burial followed in the Withee Riverside Cemetery, where military committal rites were conducted by the Van Huizen-Fritz American Legion Post No. 123 of Owen. Born May 10, 1895, and educated at Bloomington. Mr. Geiger was a veteran of World War I, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1917 until 1919. After his discharge he moved to his parents to a farm in the town of Hixon (Clark Co., Wis.).

He farmed there, and also did brick laying and carpentry work until 1867, when he came to the village of Withee. For the past one years and nine months he had been making his home at the Black River View Apartments.

He was a member of the Van Huizen-Fritz American Legion Post.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Julius (Helen) Weinberg, Appleton, and Mrs. Adolph (Nellie) Yoder, Flint, Michigan, and a brother, Howard, Ft. Collins, Colorado.

A sister and two brothers preceded him in death.
