Evans, Beverly Ann (12 JUL 1975)

Miss Beverly Ann Evans, 701 W. 17th Street, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Evans, 441 Elk Street, Franklin, Pennsylvania, was escorted to the altar of Alliance Missionary Church (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.) at 6 p.m. on July 12, 1975 to be married to James Robert Petke, 104 E. Cleveland Street, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Petke, Route 2, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.).

The Rev. Stanley Aukema, assisted by the Rev. Harold Miller, performed the nuptial rites, for which Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Rusch of Iron Mountain, Michigan, and a trio, Pat Aukema, Bonnie Uzwack and Rachel Jessen, Marshfield, provided appropriate music.

For the occasion the bride wore a white crepe and lace A-line empire gown with chapel train and a fingertip veil of bridal illusion. Enhancing her ensemble was a bouquet of red rose, baby's breath, and ivy.

Miss Patricia Evans came from Franklin, Pennsylvania to be the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Dennis Giese, Wausau and Miss Iris Petke, Marshfield. The aides donned blue chiffon over blue cotton frocks, and each had a basket of painted daisies and baby's breath. Blue bows adorned their white brimmed hats.

Others in the wedding entourage were Carl Petke, Marshfield, best man; Carvel Puls, Marshfield, and Berdell Roth, Stratford, groomsmen, and Lawrence Tessmer, Paul Schaefer and Charles Ratzloff, all of Marshfield, ushers.

Following the church ceremony there was a lawn reception.

The new Mrs. Petke graduated in 1965 from Franklin High School, Franklin, Pennsylvania, attended St. Paul Bible College, St. Paul, Minnesota from 1965-69, and graduated in 1971 from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point. She is a music teacher at Spencer.

Her husband, a 1969 graduate of Owen-Withee High School and a 1971 graduate of Eau Claire Technical Institute, is a dietary supervisor at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Following a Canadian honeymoon, the Petkes will live at 701 W. 17th Street, Marshfield.
