Based on outstanding qualities of leadership and good character, Joan Morgan,
daughter of Mrs. Jeanette Morgan, and Jim Sarafin, son of Mr. and Mrs. John
Sarafin, have been chosen as Thorp High School's Badger Girl and Badger Boy.
Badger Girls State is sponsored by the Thorp Unit of the American Legion
Auxiliary, and sponsoring the Badger Boys State is the Thorp Post of the
American Legion.
These students were selected by the high school faculty on the basis of
qualities required to fill the positions.
Alternatives for Badger Girl and Badger Boy are Diane Niedzwiecki, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Niedzwiecki, and Chet Slipek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Slipek.
