Stachnik, Rose Ann (22 JUL 1972)

Miss Rose Ann Stachnik, Madison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Stachnik, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Ronald James Lau, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lau, Stratford, on Saturday, July 22, 1972. Reverend T. Bradtke performed the seven p.m. marriage ceremony at Christ Lutheran Church, Marshfield. Organist was Mrs. Bradtke and soloist was Maurene Hughes.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore an organza over taffeta gown with a Victorian bodice and Camelot sleeves of embroidered organza. Her bouffant chapel length train was paneled with embroidered organza and a maize satin ribbon encircled the crescent waistline. Her elbow length tiered illusion veil was held in place by a floral and pearl spray profile, and she carried a bouquet of yellow and white roses, attached baby’s breath, and ivy.

Mrs. Sharon Obermann was matron of honor and Mrs. Marilyn Eckes was bridesmaid. They wore gowns of pelon chiffon styled with high necklines and long puffed sleeves. Their bodices were trimmed with bands of lace, accented with embroidered flowers and tulles. Completing the attire were bows and streamers of pelon with daisies, and they carried a colonial bouquet of yellow and white daisies.

David Kopp was best man, with Ross Mathiesen as groomsman. Ushers were Donald Stachnik and Patrick Mullin.

Wedding day events were held at Christ Lutheran Church, Marshfield and Village Plaza, Spencer.

The bride, a graduate of Thorp High School, is with Jackson Clinic, Madison, and the groom is a pharmacy technician at University Hospital, Madison.

After a wedding trip to Niagara Falls, they will be at home at 2331 Badger Parkway, Madison, Wisconsin.
