Mrs. Anne B. Gebert (30 Apr 1907 – 17 Mar 1990)

Funeral services were conducted here Tuesday morning at Holy Rosary Catholic Church for Mrs. Anne B. Gebert, 82-year-old Town of Little Black resident who died early Saturday morning at Memorial Hospital, Medford, where she had been hospitalized the past month.

Rev. Dennis Meulemans officiated and burial took place in Medford Catholic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Patrick Brunetto, Stanley Anderson, Gregory, David, Christopher and Jamie Gebert.

The body lay in state at the Hemer Funeral Home, Medford, where a prayer vigil service was held Monday evening.

The former Anne Kraus, daughter of the late Adam and Margaret (Bier) Kraus, was born April 30, 1907, in the Town of Deer Creek where she received her education in the former Green Acres School.

She had been employed as a housekeeper at Milwaukee for three years prior to her marriage November 5, 1929, at Stetsonville to Mike Gebert, who survives.

After their marriage she and her husband farmed in the Town of Little Black. They retired in 1970 and continued to reside on the home farm. She was a homemaker and mother.

Mrs. Gebert was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Little Black Boosters Homemakers Association and a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Stetsonville.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Janice, Mrs. Frank Brunetto, Medford; a son Lloyd, also of Medford; a brother, Joe (Clara) Kraus, Stetsonville; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A brother, George, also preceded her in death.
