Dorchester native, Kenneth O. Peissig, 83, Shawano, died Sunday, Sept 29, in Shawano. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Peace Untied Church of Christ in Shawano, with Rev. Moira Finley officiating. Burial was in Dorchester Memorial North Cemetery in Dorchester.

Kenneth Peissig was born February 5, 1919 in Dorchester to the late Oscar and Rosa (Braun) Peissig. He graduated from Dorchester High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

His marriage to Lucille Tauchen, who survives, took place April 17, 1939.

He was involved in agriculture his entire life. He was the manager of a Registered Holstein farm in Illinois and was the third full-time classifier for the Holstein-Friesian Association. For the 23 years prior to his retirement, he was employed by Badger Breeders and Midwest Breeders in Shawano in various executive positions.

He was a member of the Holstein Friesian Association, Dairy Shrine and Peace United Church of Christ, where he served in many capacities, including two terms as congregation president.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five sons, Larry (Kwang) of Pappilion, Neb., Lanny (Karen) of New Brighton, Minn., James (Paula) of Norcross, Ga., Alan (Chin-Kwei) of Oshkosh and Kenneth of Shawano; two daughters, Veranne Loop of Englewood, Colo. and Patrisia (Russ) Sette of Reeseville; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, her was preceded in death by one sister, Verna.
