Elizabeth K. Paul (10 Oct 1902 - 5 Jan 1998)

Elizabeth K. Paul, 95, Medford, died Monday, Jan. 5, at Memorial Hospital Long Term Care in Medford where she had resided for two years. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonviille with Rev. Frederick Brost Officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in the Town of Little Black. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

The former Elizabeth K. Gebert was born October 10, 1902, in the Town of Little Black to the late George and Elizabeth (Meier) Gebert Sr. She attended school in the Town of Black and Holy Rosary Grade School in Medford. Her marriage to Edgar H. Paul took place on April 25, 1922, in Stetsonville. He died on October 3, 1977.

Following their marriage, they moved to Park Falls and resided there for four years. They returned to the Town of Little Black in 1926 and farmed there until retiring in 1964. She enjoyed sewing for her family and traveling. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and of the Sacred Heart Ladies Altar Society.

Survivors include one daughter, Shirley (Dale) Wainscott of Mukwonago; six sons, Clayton of Franklin, Neil (June) of Beach, N.D., Gerald (Louise) and Art (Judy) both of Medford, Glen (Agnes) of Dorchester, and Larry (Mary Ann) Paul of Milwaukee; one sister, Marie Nehring of Marshfield; 43 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Vernon in 1989; two infant daughters; and eight siblings.
