Schiller, Rose M. (14 November 1890 – 14 December 1975)

A native of Clark County and former Neillsville businesswoman, Mrs. Rose M. Schiller of Memorial Home, died Sunday, December 14, at the age of 85. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Henseler officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. The Rosary was recited Tuesday evening at the Georgas-Gesche Funeral Home, where the body of Mrs. Schiller was in state.

Born November 14, 1890, in Clark County to Joseph and Azalida LeBrun Barton, she was educated in the county, attending the Mound School at Christie. Her marriage to Wm. F. Schiller took place July 22, 1913, at Glendive, Mt.

They returned to Neillsville in 1926 and purchased the H.H. Eberhardt funeral and furniture business. Mrs. Schiller worked with her husband in the business for many years, and, following his death on August 17, 1936, continued to operate the business until 1942. She then worked for McCain’s clothing store for many years.

Mrs. Schiller, who had been a resident of Memorial Home for the past five years because of failing health, was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and of its P.C.C.W.

Surviving are three sons, Robert Schiller of Neillsville, Joseph Schiller of St. Paul, Mn., and William Schiller of Port Washington; and nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
