Elisabeth B. Gebert (29 Nov 1924 – 2 Feb 2000)

Elisabeth B. Gebert, 75, of Clintonville passed away Wednesday February 2, 2000 at her residence.

The former Elisabeth Bertha Glawe was born November 29, 1924 in Caroline to the late Emil and Olga (Punke) Glawe. On June 21, 1948 she was united in marriage to Clarence H. Gebert at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. The couple lived in the Medford area before settling in Clintonville in 1963. They owned and operated a diary farm for over 20 years. They retired from farming in 1990. Clarence preceded her in death on June 28, 1992.

Elisabeth was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and was a past member of the Moose Lodge of Clintonville. She volunteered at Pine Manor Health Care Center since the early 1990’s. She was named the 1999 “Volunteer of the Year” at Pine Manor. She will be remembered most for her needle point work and her love of dancing.

Survivors include nine children; Norman (Sandy) of Clintonville, Norbert (Jane) of Neenah, Stephan (Linda) of Menasha, Richard (Corrine) of Nichols, Daniel (Tina) of Clintonville, Patrick (Beth) of Wausau, Jerome (Linda) of Clintonville, Junior (Penny) of Rosendale and Mary Ann (Otto) Reetz of Appleton; 28 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren; a special companion, Kenny Lewman of Clintonville; two sisters, Esther Breed of Clintonville and Darlene (William) Ross of Shawano; and one brother, Arthur Glawe of Clintonville. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relative and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband and one sister, Margaret Wienke.

Mass of Christina Burial will be Saturday, February 5, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, Clintonville. Msgr. Mark J. Schommer will officiate. Burial will follow the mass in the parish cemetery.
