Walter, Anthony George Sr. (10 May 1899-22 December 1994)

LOYAL--Anthony George Walter, Sr., 95, Loyal, died December 22, 1994, at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 27, 1994, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Loyal. The Rev. Roman Kaiser will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Walter, Allan Walter, James Walter, Joe Walter Jr., Anthony Walter, Daniel Hoffman, William Hoffman and Mark Schwellenbach. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Hoeser, Albert Walter, Eugene Walter, Romaine Walter, Franklin Walter, Jim Schecklman, Tony Schecklman, Edward Schecklman and George Schecklman.

Visitation will be Monday, December 26, at Rinka Funeral Home in Loyal. There will be a Parish Council of Women Rosary Service and a prayer service, both Monday at the funeral home.

Anthony was born May 10, 1899, in Loyal, on the home farm, to George and Mary (Hoeser) Walter. He attended Lincoln School and St. Anthony's Catholic School.

He was married to Beatrice Buddinger June 8, 1838, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal.

He farmed all his life on the farm. He entered the Marshfield Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in April 1993, where he resided until the time of his death.

He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church where he served on the Church Council for many years. He also served on the Pleasant View School Board for 10 years.

He is survived by his wife who resides at the Marshfield Nursing & Rehabilitation Center; two sons, Anthony (lice) Walter Jr., and Joseph (Kathleen) Walter, both of Loyal; a daughter, Kathryn (Delmane) Schwellenbach of Christie; a sister Ann Walter of Loyal; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Janice; four brothers and one sister.
