Free, Connie Rae (Baptism – 25 January 1976)

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Free, Rt. Neillsville presented their infant daughter, Connie Rae, for baptism Sunday, January 25, at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton. The Rev. Everett Schleef officiated. Sponsors were Mr. and Mrs. Roger Buchholz, rural Neillsville.

Dinner and supper guests afterwards at the Free home, in addition to the sponsors, were the baby’s grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Drescher, Rt. 2 Granton, and Mrs. Inger Free, Loyal and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Drescher and son, Clint of Wisconsin Rapids.

Afternoon and supper guests also included Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Anderegg, rural Loyal and Mrs. Steve LePori, rural Granton.

Mrs. Ottelia Hoeft, Connie’s maternal great-grandmother, was prevented by illness from attending the baptism.
