Rohland, Brenda (Marriage – 30 January 1976)

Miss Brenda Rohland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Rohland, Withee, and Lynn Spath, son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Spath, Dorchester, exchanged marriage vows January 30 at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee. The Rev. Lloyd Yaggie officiated at the 8 p.m. ceremony, followed by a reception at the Meadowview Country Club, Owen.

The bride appeared in an entrained lace-trimmed gown of ivory satin framed by a lace-trimmed ivory veil. She carried a gardenia bouquet as she was presented in marriage by her father.

Bridesmaids Kathy Boening and Julie Oehler of Withee were gowned in dresses of blue crepe embellished with lace and complimented by matching jackets. Each carried a single, long-stemmed rose.

The groom was attended by Michael Marty, Withee, as bestman and Tom Fritsche, Dorchester, as groomsman. Guests were seated by Scott and Jeff Rohland, brothers of the bride.

Carrie Gonnering, Marshfield, was the miniature bride and Darren Luedke, Withee, the miniature groom.

Louise Hansen was the organist for the ceremony. Kathy Boening sang “We’ve Only Just Begun” and Mel Rohland sang “The Lord’s Prayer.”

The new Mrs. Spath, a 1975 graduate of Owen-Withee High School, is employed by a Thorp firm. Her husband graduated from Medford High School in 1973 and is engaged in farming.

Following their return from a wedding trip to Florida, the newlyweds will make their home on Rt. 1 Stetsonville.
