Grendzinski, Mr./Mrs. Alex (Gold – 5 SEP 1972)

Golden Wedding celebration for Mr. and Mrs. Alex Grendzinski Sr. was given by their children.

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Grendzinski Sr. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, September 15, 1972.

Alex Grendzinski and Jennie Losiewicz were married September 5, 1922 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Lublin (Taylor Co.), Wisconsin, with Reverend John B. Balcer officiating.

A 4:00 o’clock mass was said a St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church on Saturday, September 16, 1972.

Reception was held and dinner served in the evening for relatives at the Thorpedo. Tables were decorated in fall colors of yellow, gold and bronze mums, and marigolds matching corsages and boutonnieres worn by the family.

Original wedding attendants present were: Mrs. Frances Naurocki, Stanley, Wisconsin; Mrs. Wand Fortek, thorp; and Mr. Walter Grajek, Lublin, Wisconsin.

Present were: their one daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Josephine) Bauer of Wausau, and their five sons, Casimer of Chicago, Leon and Bernard of Wausau, Alex Jr. of Thorp, and Thomas of Burnsville, Minnesota. Fourteen of the sixteen grandchildren were also present.

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Grendzinski are living in retirement and 408 W. Stanley Street for the past seven years. Previously they farmed 43 years on the homestead farm at route 2, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).

Out of town guests attending were from Kansas City, Missouri, Chicago, Illinois, Burnsville, Minnesota, Boyd, Lublin, Stanley, Wausau and Withee, Wisconsin.
