Johnson, David M. “Doc” (6 DEC 1939 – 23 APR 2020)

David M. "Doc" Johnson, 80, of Thorp, formerly of Stanley, died Thursday, April 23, 2020, at Our Lady of Victory Hospital, Stanley. He was born on December 6, 1939, Stanley, the son of the late Orneal and Dorothea Johnson. Doc graduated from Stanley High as Valedictorian and then served his country in the Army.

Dave worked for Market and Johnson Construction, various farms and then Falls Dairy in Stanley. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and spending time with family and friends

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Joann Johnson of Stanley; his nieces: Doreen (Brian) Rehlinger of Chippewa Falls and Wendy Jo (Ed) VanAntwerpen; and his I nephew, Todd (Jackie) Johnson of Augusta: f many great-nieces and nephews. Dave is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Norman "Bud" Johnson; and his sister, Delores Johnson.

A Committal Service followed by Military rites took place at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2020, at the East Side Cemetery, Stanley. A public service will be held at a later date.
