Burow, Martha (22 May 1887-5 January 1981)

COLBY-- Mrs. Martha Helen Burow, 93, died early this morning at Continental Manor Nursing Home, Abbotsford.

The funeral will be Wednesday at St. John's American Lutheran Church, town of Wien. the Rev. Merlin Schlichting is to officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Myron, Dennis and Leon Westphal, Edwin Weiland Jr., and John Hamann and Larry Happenworth are to serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at Rux/Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby.

The former Martha Walter was born May 22, 1887 in Poland and was educated there and in Germany She and Frederick Burow were married April 12, 1915 in Milwaukee. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in 1970.

The Burows farmed near Edgar for a year before moving to a farm on Route 1, Colby. Mr. Burow died September 15, 1970.

Mrs. Burow, a member of St. John's American Lutheran Church, is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Helen) Bogenschneider of Mayville, Mrs. Alice Nagel of Route 1, Edgar, and Mrs. Edward (Viola) Westphal of Abbotsford; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A son, Herbert F. Burow of Marshfield, died December 28, 1980. Also deceased are one brother and one sister.
