Granton High Graduation Class (20 May 1976)

A senior class numbering 25 students will be graduated from Granton High School at commencement exercises scheduled for next Thursday, May 20, at 8 p.m. The ceremony will be held in Granton’s od gymnasium.

Leading the class will be Elaine Thorsell, valedictorian and daugher of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Verhalen of Rt. 2 Granton. Salutatorian will be Sharon Selves, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Selves, also of Rt. 2 Granton.

Other honor students include, Kay Bartsch, daugher of Mr. and Mrs. Merle Bartsch, Rt. 1; Keith Eibergen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Eibergen of Rt. 1; Diane Zaleski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Zaleski of Granton; and David Tyler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tyler of Rt. 1.

Other graduates will be, Cindy Lou Best, Roger G. Butterfield, Evan D. Cattanach, Vida J. Garbisch, Yvonne L. Grassman, Suzette A. Helm, Gerald H. Humphrey, Jr., Duane D. Johnson, Mary A. Kleinschmidt, Steven F. Langreck, David D. Marg, Ronnie R. Riedel, Cheryl L. Roehl, Darrel H. Roehl, Daniel J. Sladek, Mary A. Sternitzky, Cassandra L. Vargas, Gale D. Winstead and Michael J. Wolf.

The commencement program will include addresses by the valedictorian and salutatorian, and by Keith Eibergen the class president. The class will be presented by Principal Walter B. Fischer, and diplomas will be presented by Supt. Donald Erpenbach and a member of the Board of Education.

The invocation and benediction will be given by the Rev. Everett Schleef, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church of Granton.

Musical numbers will be played by the Granton High School band under the direction of Fred Schram, instructor.
