Podevels, Diane Grace (3 JUL 1971)

Miss Diane Podevels, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Podevels Jr., 200 W. North Street, Colby, and Mathew Del Fatti, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey De Fatti, Route 2, Colby, spoke their wedding vows in a candlelight ceremony on July 3, 1971.

The double ring ceremony was performed at 7 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, by the Rev. D.T. Pankow.

Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride was seen in a whit empire style gown and mantilla full length veil. She carried white roses and daisies.

Miss Kathy Nomady of Colby was the maid of honor. She wore a blue empire gown with matching picture hat. Her flowers were daisies and baby’s breath.

Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Tony Del Fatti, of Colby.

Providing the ushering services were Ricky Podevels, brother of the bride, Colby, and Mark Podevels, cousin of the bride, Franklin. The bride’s brother, Kent Podevels, was the acolyte.

Debra Pankow was the organist and Betty Tjerstad sang “We’ve Only Just Begun,” I Will Follow You,” and “The Lord’s Prayer.”

A reception for the couple at the Colby Hotel followed the ceremony.

After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, they will be making tier home in Waukegan, Illinois, where the groom is stationed in the United States Navy.

Mrs. Del Fatti is a 1971 graduate of Colby High School. Her husband graduated from Windsor High School, Windsor, Missouri, and attended Central Missouri State College.
