Ray, Mary (16 July 1897-28 January 1981)

NEILLSVILLE-- Mrs. Mary Ray, 83, Clark County Health Care Center, Owen, died there Wednesday.

Services will be Saturday at Gesche Funeral Home. The Rev. Joseph N. Henseler of St. Mary's Catholic Church is to officiate. Burial will be in the town of Mentor Cemetery, Humbird.

Mrs. Ray was born July 16, 1897 in Lynville, Iowa, to William and Mary (Gerard) Dimmitt, and later moved with the family to the Humbird area. She was married there to Willam Ray and they lived in the area. She was a resident of Clark County Health Care Center since 1933.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Elaine) Zopfi of Marshfield; a sister, Mrs. Al (Frances) Jung of Tomah; two brothers, George Dimmitt of Humbird and William Dimmitt of Norfolk, Virginia; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Her husband and two sisters are deceased.
