Weix, Lynn Marie (14 AUG 1971)

St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby was the setting of the August 14, 1971 wedding of Miss Lynn Marie Weix and Arnold Lueth. Father Francis P. Rushman performed the ceremony at 1:30 p.m.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Albert Weix, Route 2, Colby, and Mr. and Mrs. Fielder Lueth, Route 1, Curtiss.

Music for the nuptial ceremony was provided by Sister Louise Marie and the children’s choir.

For her wedding day, the bride wore a floor length empire styled gown of bridal satin. Appliques of Peau de Angel lace embellished the Victorian sleeves of the English net. The A-line skirt eneded in a chapel sweep train. She carried a cascade bouquet of aqua carnations, yellow daisies, pin baby roses and stephanotis, accented with baby’s breath.

Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. DuWayne Franson of Pittsville, the bride’s sister, as matron of honor and best man; Mrs. Lawrence Weix and Miss Deanna Lueth, bridesmaids; and Lawrence Weix and Ronald Kristek, groomsmen.

Usher services were provided by John Weix and Douglas Lueth.

The bridal aides wore aqua chiffon and print pant dresses with fitted empire bodice, high ruffled neckline, rufflet jabot and bishop sleeves. They carried bouquets of white carnations with aqua centers.

A reception, dinner and dance were held in the Colby City Hall for approximately 200 guests.

The bride is a senior at Wisconsin State University, Eau Claire. She will be student teaching in Greenwood this fall. The groom graduated from Abbotsford High School and is employed by Greenwood Mobile Homes.

After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin the couple is making their home at 311 Division Street, Greenwood.
