Tober, Emil H. (16 October 1896-25 March 1981)

UNITY-- Emil H. Tober, 84, formerly of Unity, died Wednesday afternoon at Memorial Hospital of Taylor County.

The funeral will be Tuesday at Zion Luthern Church, Colby, with burial in Colby Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. Robin O. Fink is to officiate. Friends may call at Rux/Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby.

Mr. Tober was born October 16, 1896 in Clintonville, Waupaca County, to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Tober. He was educated in the town of Pella Lutheran School and Elementary School.

He and Edna Krueger were married May 29, 1918 in the town of Sherman, Clark County. From 1918 to 1927, he worked as a cheesemaker at Granton and from 1927 to 1961, the couple farmed at Unity. They retired in 1961, In 1968, they observed their golden wedding anniversary. She died November 6, 1976.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Surviving are one son, Leo E. Tober Sr. of St. Petersburg, Florida; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, William of Shawano and Henry of Birnamwood; and two sisters, Esther Lemke of Embarrass and Rose of Janesville.
