Erickson, Daniel D. (21 APR 1940 – 17 MAY 2020)

Daniel D. Erickson, age 80, of Curtiss, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at Marshfield Medical Center.

A private graveside service will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with the arrangements.

Daniel was born on April 21, 1940, the son of Odine and Marion (Owens) Erickson in Blue Earth, Minn. He was united in marriage to Beverly Skutak on May 5, 1961, in Dubuque, Iowa. Daniel drove the cement mixer truck for Melvin Companies for many years and retired from driving truck for Roehl Transport.

Daniel liked to work in his shop, cut firewood, garden and sit in his swing. He especially enjoyed driving for his Mennonite neighbors. Most importantly, Daniel loved and cherished his family, especially his grandchildren.

Daniel is survived by his wife of 59 years, Beverly; three children: Randy (Gehan) Erickson of Fort Worth, Texas, Ron (Trudy) Erickson of Curtiss and Jeanie (Jeremy) Malecki of Curtiss; nine grandchildren: Courtney, Kalli, Ashley, Chelsea, Tommy, Cody, Bailee, Daniel and Katie; and two great-grandchildren, Addison and Ellie.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
