Sladich, Rita Rose (Marriage – 5 June 1976)

Marriage vows were repeated June 5 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood, by Miss Rita Rose Sladich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ignatious Sladich Rt. 2 Greenwood, and Chester Allen Rybski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Rybski, Rt. 1 Loyal. The Rev. Robert Houston officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony, followed by a reception at the Loyal American Legion Hall.

The bride, presented in marriage by her parents, appeared in a white floor-length gown of organza and lace over satin styled with a V-neck, tiered, sheer sleeves and an empire waistline. Her tiered, waist-length veil with lace edging was caught by a crown of organza and lace flowers. She held a cascade arrangement of red and white roses with ivy.

White baskets of blue and white carnations with ivy were carried by maid of honor Anne Sladich, Greenwood, and bridesmaids Cindy Trampush and Chris Degenhardt, Loyal. Their lace-collared, empire-waist aqua gowns with sheer bell sleeves were complimented by matching hats.

Steve Hamilton, Anderson, Mo., served as bestman. Groomsmen were Eric Gorsenger and Jim Mechelke, Loyal. Acting as ushers were Mike Sladich, Greenwood, and Dennis Nelson, Spencer.

Then bride is a 1976 graduate of Greenwood High School. Her husband, who graduated from Loyal High School in 1974, is employed by an auto wrecking firm in Loyal.

The newlyweds will live at the Brux trailer court on Rt. 1 Greenwood. They planned a wedding trip to the southwestern states.
