Umlauft, Louella Jane (18 SEP 1971)

Miss Louella Jane Umlauft, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Umlauft, and Lloyd R. Luedtke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruno Luedtke, Wausau, were united in marriage September 18, 1971 by Father Gerald Schuh, in the St. Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester.

The gown worn by the bride was sata Peau over taffeta, with a high neckline, and had Chantilly lace panels down the sleeves. Tthe bodice was trimmed with crisscross pearl and crystal. The detachable chapel train was trimmed with lace, complemented by a lace floral petaled headpiece and a pearl edged bouffant veil. The bride carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums and carnations with white and green heather leaf.

Miss Lois Umlauft, sister of the bride, as maid of honor, Miss Kathleen Boxrucker, Chicago, as bridesmaid, and Linda Luedtke as flower girl, wore floor length gown sof apricot imported chiffon over peau, with softly gathered skirt falling from a modified waistline, vertical rows of lace interwoven with matching ribbon trimmed the front bodice, the high collars, cuffs and encircled the waist. Each wore matching picture hats and carried baskets of apricot carnations, bronze chrysanthemums, and heather leaf.

The groom chose as his best man, Dave Borth, Wausau, and Robert Utech, Merrill, as groomsman, and Darin Umlauft as ring bearer.

The reception and dance for 250 guests followed the ceremony at the Dorchester Memorial Hall.

The bride is a 1968 graduate of Colby High School and is employed at Kmart at Wausau. The groom is a 1965 graduate of Wausau East Senior High and a 1966 graduate of North Central Technical Institute, and is employed by the Drott Manufacturing of Wausau.

After a wedding trip to the Black Hills and Yellowstone National Park, Mr. and Mrs. Luedtke will make their home in Wausau.
