A banquet observing the 70th anniversary of the Colby Midget City Camp No. 2666 of the Royal Neighbors of America was held at the First United Church of Christ on Wednesday evening.

The meal was served by the Church Guild to about 50, including members and guests.

Mrs. Neva Harry read the history of the camp, taken from the book of minutes. Recognition was given Mrs. Bertha Young, 88 years old, the oldest living member of the Colby camp present, and Mrs. Fenner of a Spencer camp, a member of 66 years, who is now 91 years old.

Highlights of the history of Midget City Camp show that in the year 1897, the family of Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Fuller and three sons moved from Genoa City, Walworth County to Colby. The mother, Emma Fuller, belonged to Rustic Camp of Richmond, Illinois, and was instrumental in organizing the Colby Camp with 20 members on September 3, 1901.

50 years members are Myrtle Reis, Anna Draeger, Mildred Robertson, Evelyn Wil, Augusta Yelke, Bertha Young, Mathilda Pacholke, Hildegard Eggebrecht, Helen Merkel, Maud McIllhattan and Blanch Metzgar. Unity joined the Colby Camp in the 1971 and Spencer in 1966. There have been only four recorders in the 70 years history of the Camp: Lydia Wicker, Etta Grimes, Evelyn Bane and Evelyn Will.

Present officers are: Oracle, Pearl Vorland; Vice Oracle, Mildred Robertson; Recorder for 11 years, Evelyn Will; Receiver for 16 years, Mildred Dallman; Chancellor, Anna Draeger; Marshall, Evelyn Bane; Asst.
