Sternitzky, Mr./Mrs. Otto (Silver – 16 June 1976)

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Sternitzky, Rt. 1 Granton, observed their Silver wedding anniversary Sunday, June 20, with an open house at Zion Lutheran Church in Granton. A buffet lunch was served for approximately 135 well-wishers. Earlier, the couple attended worship services together with family members and relatives.

Otto Sternitzky and the former Bertha Kalsow were married June 16, 1951, at Globe by the Rev. Adolph Schumann. Mr. Sternitzky is a native of the Town of Fremont, and his wife was born in the Town of Weston. They have farmed throughout their married life. Both are members of church organizations at Zion, and Mrs. Sternitzky also belongs to the West Fremont Homemakers Club.

The Sternitzkys are parents of three children. Their daughter, Gloria, Mrs. Mark Stimac and her husband live in Champaign, Il. Their sons, Daniel and James, are both at home and busy on the family farm located three and one-half miles northeast of Granton.

Family members present for the anniversary observance in addition to Daniel, James and the Stimacs, included Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kalsow of Milwaukee, Lydia Winter of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. G. Wilcox of Cottage Grove, Mrs. Sternitzky’s father, Ed Kalsow, who makes his home with them, and wedding attendants, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sternitzky of Apache Junction, Az.

Others came from Berlin, Pine River, Belleville, Coloma, Marshfield, Wautoma, Thorp, Sun Prairie, Fall Creek, Luxemburg, Neillsville, Chili, Spencer and Amherst in Wisconsin and Caldwell, Id.
