Halopka, Darla Marie (23 OCT 1971)

Miss Darla Halopka, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Halopka, Dorchester, and Charles Stuttgen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Stuttgen, Colby, were married on October 23, 1971 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Milan by the Rev. Leonard Stashek.

The bride’s attendants were Miss Dolores Helfert, maid of honor, of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Miss Kathleen Stuttgen, bridesmaid, of La Crosse, sister of the groom; and Miss Dianah Halopka, bridesmaid, of Eau Claire, cousin of the bride.

The groom’s attendants were Larry Stuttgen, best man, of Colby, brother of the groom; Gary Halopka, groomsman of Dorchester, brother of the bride, and Tony Stuttgen, groomsman, of Colby, brother of the groom.

Daryl Halopka, Dorchester, and Melvin Stuttgen, Colby, were the ushers.

The bride carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations. Her gown, styled with a molded bodice, had a jeweled neckline edged with a narrow ruffle and bishop sleeves with ruffled lace on the cuffs, and was acted by a val lace circular chapel train and a veil of satin leaves outlined with seed pearls trimmed with crystal lace appliques.

The bride’s attendants carried bouquets of yellow carnations. Their gowns were emerald green velvet and Nine green chiffon with fitted bodices, a high ruffled neckline and velvet covered buttons.

Each wore a veil of Nile green with floral sprays trimmed with pearlized sprays.

The bride is a 1968 graduate of Colby High School and is employed at Employer’s Insurance Company of Wausau. The groom is a 1966 graduate of Colby High School and is employed at General Telephone Company in Marshfield.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stuttgen will make their home in Dorchester.
