 NATION’S BEST HIGH SCHOOL PHOTOS ARE BEING SHOWN

Prize-winning Prints from National High School Photographic Awards to be Exhibited at Palmyra-Macedon High School.

Fifty prize photoraphs, including the top winners in the Tenth Annual National High School Photographic Awards, will be shown in the library from November 4 to 8.

The contest, sponsored annually by Eastman Kodak Company, is generally acknowledged as the leading teen-age photo contest. It recognizes achievement in photography with cash prizes and certificate awards.

A representative sample of the excellent work done by high school students throughout the U.S. and the territories, the exhibit includes all sixteen major prize winners from the 1955 competetition, plus a selection of pictures that received honorable Mention Awards.

Activities in and out of school head the list of photos included in the display, along with many other subjects ranging from striking pictures of birds and animals to photos of babies and small children, sports activities, snaps of people at work and play, and beautiful scenic views--all caught by the perceptive eyes of the nation's best teen-age photographers.

Grand Prize winning pictures included in the display are the work of : Phillip Broman, Mesa (AZ) High School; Gerald Walter, Neillsville (WI) High School; Ron Burbow, Mt. Vernon (WA) High School; and Robert Ludlum, Santa Barbara (CA) High School.
