Barth, Hilda (6 March 1906 - 3 May 1981)

CHILI-- Mrs. John (Hilda) Barth, 75, Route 1, died of an apparent heart attack Sunday while attending a family gathering at the Norman Vanderwyst home in Granton.

The funeral will be Wednesday at Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville. The Rev. Maynard Stokka of Zion Lutheran Church, Granton, is to officiate. Burial will be in Lynn Cemetery.

The former Hilda Quicker was born in the town of Lynn, where she attended school. She and John were married November 9, 1921 at Nasonville Lutheran Church parsonage by the Edward A. Koch.

After their marriage, the Barths lived in the town of Fremont of Lynn. They retired in 1965 and moved to Route 1. Chili. They observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1971.

Mrs. Barth is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Norma) Vandenbergen of Berlin; three sons, Robert Barth Sr. of Neillsville, Raymond Barth of Granton and James Barth of Chili; two sisters, Mrs. Leah Wolf of Marshfield and Mrs. Irene Vanderwyst of Granton; three brothers, Albert Quicker of San Diego, California, Hubert H. Quicker of Neillsville and Roland Quicker of Granton; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a child in infancy, a sister and a brother. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. James (Louise Steinbach) Quicker.
