Schultz, Susan Kay (23 OCT 1971)

Miss Susan Kay Schultz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schultz, Abbotsford, and David Mrotek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roman Mrotek, Marshfield, were married in the United Church of Christ on October 23, 1971 by the Rev. Milton Petzold of Medford.

Miss Lenora Hardrath of Colby was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Mrs. Jerry Schultz, Abbotsford, sister-in-law of the bride, and Mrs. Darwin Nelson, Genoa City, cousin of the bride. The flower girl was Annette Nelson.

Gerald Mrotek of Loyal, brother of the groom, was the best man, and Jerry Schultz and Allen Schultz of Abbotsford, brothers of the bride, were groomsmen.

The white satin gown worn by the bride was trimmed with lace panels on the skirt and bodice, and the cuffs of the long sleeves. The high neckline was trimmed with a lace ruffle. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations with white streamers.

The maid of honor and flower girl wore moss green nylon over taffeta, long sleeved gowns. The gowns worn by the bridesmaids blended orange, yellow and green nylon over taffeta. Each carried bouquets of fall flowers.

Music during the ceremony was provided by Mrs. Jerry Rankl, organist, and Mrs. Donald Albrecht sang “The Wedding Prayer.”

A reception and dance were held at the Legion Hall in Dorchester.

The bride is a 1970 graduate of Colby High School. The groom graduated from Marshfield Senior High School and is employed as a truck driver.

Mr. and Mrs. David Mrotek will be making their home in Spencer.
