Erickson, Carl R. (26 July 1921 - 17 May 1981)

WITHEE-- Carl R. Erickson, 59, Route 2, died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where he was admitted Thursday.

The funeral will be Wednesday at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen. The Rev. Ralph Claybaugh is to officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Mr. Erickson was born July 26, 1921 in Ellison Bay. He married Ruth Klabon February 21 1942 in Chicago.

He worked as a truck driver in Chicago prior to serving in the Pacific during World War II. He then was a truck driver for Foremost Food Co., Owen. He farmed the past 27 years in the town of Hixon.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Arnold of Omro, and Timothy of Withee; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Karen) Erwin of Aurora, Colorado, and Kathleen Erickson of Withee; four sisters, Mrs. Joseph (June) Sala of Des Plaines, Illinois, Mrs. Donald (Jeanette) Schmidt of Chicago, Mrs. Olga Morris of Phoenix and Mrs. Alta Torstenson of Sturgeon Bay; and one granddaughter. Two sisters are deceased.
