The WISCO Milling Company of Abbotsford has for the past week been installing new unloading facilities to control dust emissions from the plant, according to John Tremble, General Manager.

The company has added an eight foot addition to the top of the building. This addition was necessary for more efficient operation of a newly installed grain conveyor.

The conveyor is 86 feet high and will be used to unload hoper rail cars and trucks, and will deposit grain in storage bins.

Another addition for more efficient unloading is the installation of huge mechanical grain scoops, which will enter the railroad cars and unload the grain for the conveyor to transport to the bins.

The WISCO Milling Company has stopped shipping and receiving grain shipments by rail until the improvements are complete.

Shipping resumed on November 29, 1971.

The installation of the new facilities is being done by the regular employees of WISCO under the direction of the plant supervisor, Bernard Geiger.

WISCO Milling Company ships large quantities of cattle feed by train to the New England area. Also produced is mink feed, used by the local area mink ranches and shipped throughout Wisconsin, Michigan and Iowa.
