Walker, Melvin G. (13 April 1909 - 26 July 1981)

NEILLSVILLE -- Melvin G. Walker, 72, died Sunday at Neillsville Memorial Hospital. He was the brother of Charlotte Durham and Reta Koranda, both of Neillsville.

Services were today at Jensen Funeral Home, Hilton, with burial in Mentor Cemetery, Humbird.

He married Rilla Woodford September 19, 1931 at Alma Center and was employed by the Clark County Highway Department until retiring.

Besides his sisters here, he is survived by his wife; two sons, Conrad and Richard, both of Humbird; one daughter, Patricia Gerber of Humbird; four brothers, the Rev. Ralph Walker of Augusta, Bervil of Fairchild, Manley of Prairie Farm and Seth of Texas; two other sisters, Neta Diercks and Zora Sentek, both of Vesper; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
