Greier, Lena (15 AUG 1884 – 11 OCT 1965)

Mrs. Lena Greier, 84, of Abbotsford, died Monday, October 11, 1965 at 4:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield, where she was a patient for two weeks.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Polnaszek Funeral Home, Abbotsford, and interment will take place in the Abbotsford Cemetery. The Rev. F.H. Sprengler of Christ Lutheran Church will officiate.

Mrs. Greier, the former Lena Weideman, was born August 15, 1884, at Sheboygan. She was one of 10 children born to Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Weideman, and was the last of the family to survive.

On September 18, 1908, she and William Greier of the town of Hull were married. They farmed in the town of Hull until 1952, when Mr. Greier died. She and her brother Herman (Pat) Weideman came to Abbotsford to make their home. He died in 1965. In 1963 Mrs. Greier became a resident of the Leahy Nursing Home, Abbotsford.

Her only surviving relatives are a number of nieces and nephews.
