Horacek, Anna (? – 16 OCT 1965)

Mrs. Anna Horacek, Deerbrook, a former Abbotsford area resident, died Saturday, October 16, 1965 in an Antigo hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at Deerbrook. Burial was made Tuesday afternoon in the town of Holton Cemetery. Mrs. Horacek lived in Abbotsford and the town of Holton for a number of years, leaving the area in the early 1940’s.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Adeline Rogers, West Covina, California, Mrs. Esther Antonia, Chicago, Illinois, and Mrs. Anita Jantz, Marshfield; one son, Lester Hoeft, Deerbrook; eight grandchildren; one brother and one sister.

Mrs. William Kalepp, Abbotsford, is a niece.

Horacek, Anna (5 DEC 1893 – 16 OCT 1965)

Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 19, 1965 at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Deerbrook, with the Rev. Orville Jank officiating, and burial was at the Holton Cemetery for Mrs. Anna Horacek of Deerbrook, a former Abbotsford resident, who died October 16, 1965.

Born Anna Marks December 5, 1893, at Colby, she married Gustav Hoeft in 1915 and lived in Abbotsford until the death of her husband, when she moved to Marshfield, and later to Milwaukee. In 1964 she moved to Deerbrook and lived with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Le Lester Hoeft.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Adelyn Rogers, West Covina, California, Mrs. A.J. (Esther) Antinori of Chicago, Mrs. Verlyn (Anita) Jantz of Marshfield; one son, Lester Hoeft of Deerbrook, eight grandchildren; one great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lena Papenfuss of Abbotsford; and two brothers, Edwin Marks of Wauwatosa and Ferdinand Marks of Chippewa Falls. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son in infancy, and one sister.

Those attending the services from out of town were Mrs. Adelyn Rogers, West Covina, California, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Antinori and family, Mr. and Mrs. Verlyn Jantz and family, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schultz, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Raatz Jr. and daughter, and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Gadke, all of Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hoeft and son, Deerbrook, Mrs. Verlyn Hanson, Milwaukee, Mrs. Richard Schlice, Mrs. William Kalepp, Ten and Ed Hoeft, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bernitt of Abbotsford, and Otto Hoeft of Greenwood.
