Sobolewski, Katherine (10 September 1892 - 25 September 1981)

THORP -- Mrs. Anton (Katherine) Sobolewski, 89, of 406 Madison St., Stanley, who with her husband farmed in the Thorp area, died Friday at Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, where she was a patient for 1 1/2 weeks,

Services will be Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Stanley, with the Rev. Leonard G. Kaiser officiating. Burial will be in (New) St. Hedwig's Cemetery, Thorp. Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley is in charge of arrangements and visitations.

The former Katherine Ciak was born September 10, 1892 in Poland. She came to America in 1910 and was married September 22, 1913 in Passiac, New Jersey, to Anton Sobolewski, who survives. They had come to the Thorp area to farm in 1918.

Surviving besides her husband are four children, Henry Sobolewski and Mrs. Frank (Lottie) Jastczemski, both of Norridge, Illinois; Mrs. Albert (Helen) Lehnert, Chicago; and Mrs. Joseph (Caroline) Lato, Stratford. There are 10 grandchildren.
