Jenness, Viola (22 OCT 1946 – 30 JUL 2020)

Viola Jenness (Helen Anna Carpenter), age 73, of Thorp WI, left us on July 30, 2020, in Marshfield, WI.

Vi was born in Park City, UT to Anna Marie Carpenter on October 22, 1946. She married the love of her life, Arlin Ellwood Jenness, on December 20, 1969 in a little chapel in Mountain Home, ID She had various jobs throughout her life including being beautician, working at ITT, Pabich's Bakery, the ceramic store, and cheese factory. She retired from Phillips Plastics Corporation, where she had worked for 15 years. Some of Vi's interests included playing Yahtzee, going to the casino, and spending time with her family.

Vi is preceded in death by her mother, Anna Marie Carpenter; sisters: Rose Cracoft, Arlene Dryden, and Joy Tyler; mother and father-in-law: Elinore and Ellwood Jenness; brother-in-law, Fritz Orheim; and nephew, Jeff Orheim.

Vi is survived by her beloved Arlin Ellwood Jenness of Thorp; two daughters: Micki (Dale) Moon of Thorp, and Dee Dee (Paul) Hester of Withee; six grandchildren: Ali (Cory) Hancock, Rebecca Pupp, Ivan (Gabrielle) Moon, Jessica (Matt) Pharo, Aaron "Boomer" (Rachel) Mielke, and Brooklyn Jenness; two great-grandchildren: Madison and Catherine Charlene "CC" sisters and brothers-in-law: Sharon Orheim, Nancy (Bob) Hmielak, and Pam (Paul) Larson; and many friends and family.

Vi’s family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Chady Leon and his nurse Pat; Peter Gintner, PAC; and all the staff at Marshfield Clinic and Hospital, Ministry Medical Group, and Our Lady of Victory, who took care of Vi during her courageous four-year battle with cancer.
