Karaba, Tammy Jo (4 March 1961 – 25 May 2020)

Tammy Jo Karaba, age 59, of Owen, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

Tammy was born on March 4, 1961, the daughter of Joseph and Shirley (Smith) Karaba. She graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 1979. Tammy worked as a mail carrier for many years until a few years ago she fulfilled her lifelong passion of animals and started her own business: "Barks & Meow Boutique".

Tammy loved animals and had many including horses, St. Bernards, and birds just to name a few. Most importantly, she cherished her family.

Tammy is survived by her son, Jay Jay (Korina) Colliver of Holcombe; two grandchildren: Jaxon and Brielle; three brothers: Rod (Pat) Karaba, Randy (Kris) Karaba and Robbie (Marie) Karaba; five sisters: Joan (Mitch) Karaba-Zegers, Jana (Mark) Fortuna, Peggy (Al) Goerlitz, Sharon (Lenny) Bauers and Bonnie (Larry) Rassmussen. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Shirley and a sister, Donna Karaba.

Family and friends are welcome at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2020 followed by a Time of Celebration and sharing of memories for Tammy Jo at 11:00 a.m. all at Riverside Cemetery in Withee. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen is entrusted with the arrangements.
