Duss, Carol Ann (26 June 1932 – 27 February 2019)

Carol Ann Duss of Stanley passed away on February 27, 2019 at Wissota Health Care, Chippewa Falls.

She was born on June 26, 1932 to the late James and Loretta (Lacina) Miland. She was raised in the town of Delmar-north of Stanley and attended Stanley High School. She married Donald Duss on February 3, 1951 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Stanley. Carol farmed, owned/operated Maple Hill and First and Last Chance taverns for a time and bar tended for others for many years. She also enjoyed being a foster grandmother. Carol enjoyed listening to music, traveling, playing bingo and was active in church participating in various activities and participating in offices.

Carol is survived by her children Ronald (Kay) Duss of Tomah, Rebecca (Bob) Schmidt of Eau Claire, Cheryl (Steve) Kuehni of Stanley, Lynn (Jim) Leech of Stanley, Julie (Gene) Edwardson of Stanley, Greta (Jake Prince) Princes of Eau Claire, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandson, her brothers Bill (Bonnie) of Appleton, Jim Miland of Appleton, and Bonnie (Leroy) Burzynski of Beloit.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald Duss, her son James Duss, her sisters, Marion Peterson and Betty Dahle her brothers Duane “Bing”, Mike and Ronny in infancy.

A service of Christian Burial will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Plombon Funeral Home-Stanley with Deacon Ned Willkom officiating. Inurnment will take place in the spring in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery-Boyd. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
