Beschta, Rev. Nicholas (25 December 1898 - 7 January 1983)
Rev. Nicholas Beschta, 84, a former pastor of St. Mary's parish, Colby, and St.
Patrick's parish, Halder, died January 7.
He was born December 25, 1898 in Cedarburg. He received his training at
Salvatorian Seminary and St. John's Collegeville, Minnesota. He was ordained
June 5, 1933. On August 22, 1945 he became pastor at St. Mary's parish, Colby.
He then served in La Crosse from 1952-1960, and then became pastor of St.
Patrick's parish, Halder, until he retired in 1968.
Services were Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic CHurch, Halder.
