Franz, Theodore H. (12 JUN 1905 – 14 MAR 1974)

Greenwood – Services were held a 11 a.m. Monday at the Fuiten Mortuary Chapel in Hillsboro, Oregon for Theodore H. Franz, 68, of Aloha, Oregon, formerly of Greenwood, who died Thursday, March 14, 1974 at his home. Death was attributed to a heart condition.

Officiating at the Monday service was the Rev. Eugene Sabin, pastor of the Cedar Hills Christian Church.

Mr. Franz was a native of Greenwood, where he was born June 12, 1905. He spent all of his early life and received his education at Greenwood, and as a young man went to Montana.

He was married to the former Jane Halstenhoff in Montana, and they later lived at Goldendale, Washington, before moving to Oregon in 1933. They first lived at McMinnville, Oregon for a number of years, and then since 1953 at Aloha.

Mr. Franz was a retired farmer and nurseryman and had been working part time at the Daybreak Nursery at Cornelius, Oregon.

Survivors include his wife; three brothers, Oscar Franz, Land O’ Lakes, Edwin Franz, North Dakota, and Leondo Franz, Wisconsin Rapids; and five sisters, Mrs. Harvey (Martha) Schwarze, Mrs. Henry (Minnie) Lube and Mrs. Selma Churkey, all of Owen, and Mrs. Harold (Arvilla) Horn and Mrs. Mike (Meta) Bolf, both of Greenwood.
