Rojicek, William (2 October 1916 - 25 January 1983)

PITTSVILLE - Services for William Rojicek, 66, 1401 Highway 73 West, Pittsville, who died at Neillsville Memorial Hospital, Will be Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Pittsville. Mr. Rojicek died of a heart attack.

The Rev. E.T. Keller will officiate. Soloist will be Mrs. Betty Sherwood; organist, Mrs. Betty Capling. Burial will be in Sherwood Cemetery, Town of Sherwood, Clark County, where military rites will be conducted by the Palmer-Ritichie-Thomas Post 153, of the American Legion, Pittsville.

Pallbearers will be John Kane, Richard Luther, Neil Coulthard, Leonard Freedlund, Lowell Freelund and Arnold Schwanebeck. Visitation will be at the Rembs-Kundinger Chapel, Marshfield.

He was born October 2, 1916 in Chicago, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Catherine Malik) Rojicek. He received his education in Berwyn, Illinois Schools. After graduation he was employed at the Crane Plumbing Company, Chicago. He then entered the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II, from 1942-1945, in the South Pacific. After his discharge, he returned to the Crane Co. until his retirement in 1976. He and his wife then moved to the town of Sherwood.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Town of Sherwood, Town of Sherwood; a supervisor in the Town of Sherwood; a member of Southern Clark County Sportsmen Club; and a member of the Palmer-Ritchie-Thomas Post 153.

He and Ilene S. Snearly were married May 28, 1944, at First Congregational Church, Berwyn, Illinois. She survives along with two brothers, Rudolph Roicheck of Chicago and Charles Roichek of Cicero, Illinois; and two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Gersch of Matteson, Illinois and Mrs. Margaret Lienweber of Chicago.

He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
