Maass, Gerald "Jerry" E. (30 June 1938 - 28 Jul 1993)

WISCONSIN RAPIDS -- Jerry E. Maass, 55, of 3510 15th st S., died Wednesday morning, July 28 1993, at home under hospice care of St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Services will be Saturday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2640 14th St. S. President James Milne will officiate. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery, town of Saratoga, with military rights by American Legion Post 9.

Maass was born June 30, 1938 in Greenwood, to Edward and Mary Maass. He married Therese Pogodzinski November 26, 1960, in Owen.

He served in the U.s. Army during the Berlin and Cuban crises, and was employed as a mechanic and carpenter for Ore-Ida Foods Inc for the past 15 years. He was the president of Wausau District of the Church of Latter-Day Saints.

Survivors include his wife; his mother, of Withee; one son, Patrick (Susan) of Orem, Utah; two daughters, Deanna (Miguel) Maass-Adriano, Lisbon, Portugal, and Suzanna (David) Lau, Stevens Point; two grandson; one brother, Bernard of Necedah; and one sister, Kathleen (Harmon) Lookhoff, in New Jersey. He was predeceased by his father. Friends may call at Higgins Funeral Home.
