Kauffman, Ray (1892 – 6 November 1976)

Ray Kauffman, 84, former Neillsville and Loyal resident, died Saturday, November 6, at Alexandria hospital, Alexandria, VA. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 9, from the Everly-Wheatly Funeral Home at Alexandria, and burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, Va.

Masonic services were held Monday evening, November 8, provided by the Henry Knox Field Lodge No. 349 AF&AM of Alexandria. The Rev. John A. McKenry, Jr., of the United Methodist Church officiated.

Mr. Kauffman was born at Hillsboro in 1892 and resided in Loyal until 1935 when the family moved to Neillsville. He was a carpenter by occupation and helped build many homes in and around Neillsville.

Surviving are his wife, Frona Castner Kauffman, two sons, Jerry of Alexandria and Larry of Culpeper, Mrs. Hal (Grace) Arnold, East McKeesport, Pa., and 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Among those attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Steiger of Neillsville and Dale and Donald Kauffman of Loyal.
