Seefeldt, Edwin (4 October 1896 - 27 February 1983)

SPENCER -- Edwin Seefeldt, 86, formerly of Abbotsford, died Sunday at Neillsville Memorial Hospital. He had been a resident of the Neillsville Memorial Nursing Home.

Services will be Wednesday at the Rux Funeral Home, Spencer. The Rev. David Ault will officiate. Burial will be in West Spencer Cemetery.

He was born October 4, 1896, in the Town of Unity, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto (Amanda Andre) Seefeldt. He and Gladys Anderson were married July 6, 1917, in St. John's Lutheran Church, North Spencer. She died May 28, 1965. They farmed in the Spencer and Chili area for 21 years and in the Riplinger area for eight years. He then lived in Abbotsford before entering the nursing home. He was a World War I veteran and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church North Spencer.

Surviving are three sons, Maynard of Lexington, Oregon, Eldore "Jack" of Unity and Philmore "Sam" of Melrose; one daughter Mrs. Ralph (Dorothy) Struck of Spencer; 12 grandchildren; eight (?) grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Amanda Osborne of Panorama, California, Mrs. Lilie Nelson of Milwaukee and Mrs. Beulah Hildebrandt of Merrill. He was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.
