Naedler, William C. (15 December 1934 – 16 February 2021)

William C. Naedler, age 86, loving husband and proud father of three children and two stepchildren, passed away at home in Elwood, Illinois on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

Bill was born December 15, 1934 to William A. and Linda (nee Schwantes) Naedler in Granton. He graduated from Granton High School in 1953. He married Patricia Gallagher in 1954 and was later divorced. He married Cheryl Wyrick Hebert on February 24, 1979.

After high school, Bill purchased a dairy farm in Granton. He farmed until 1975 when he moved to Mercer and worked for Tri-State homes. He later returned to Neillsville and began his career as an over-the-road truck driver. He and Cheryl returned to Mercer, in 1990, to his first love of the cabin his parents had purchased in 1949 on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage. Bill loved fishing, and just being able to look out the window at the lake and wildlife that walked through the yard. Bill was a member of Amazing Love Lutheran Church in Frankfort, IL.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl. Children, Dennis, Sandy (Dale) Reckner, Donna (Mark) Sternitzky and step-sons, Christopher (Kate) and Brian (Stephanie) Hebert. Grandchildren, Matthew and Lindsey Naedler, Tina (Russ) Van Lieshout, Amanda (Brett) Klieforth, Zackary, Gage and Madeleine Hebert and 1 great-grandson, Jackson. Also surviving are his sister-in-law, Mary Naedler, brother-in- law, Richard (Patricia) Wyrick, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Marvin, sister Irene, and daughter-in-law Joanne.

In lieu of flowers, donations in William's name to Amazing Love Lutheran Church, 21301 Pfeiffer Rd., Frankfort, IL 60423 or Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 would be most appreciated.
