Collins, Jesse "Jess" P. (25 November 1915 - 25 March 1983)

NEILLSVILLE -- Services will be Monday at United Church of Christ, Humbird, for Jess P. Collins, 67, Humbird, formerly of Neillsville area, who was dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital Friday morning of an apparent heart attack suffered while at the wheel of his car.

The Rev. Donald B. King, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Town of Mentor Cemetery, Humbird. Friends may call at Gesche Funeral Home

Pallbearers will be Louis Albrecht, Thomas, Mark and David Collins, Lawrence Gessert and Walter Oldham.

Mr. Collins was born November 25, 1915 at Neillsville and was educated here, attending Hewettville School. He worked at various jobs in the area and also had worked in the harvest fields in Montana for several years. Later he was a carpenter for Ray Moen and worked at Wedges Creek Research Farm, northwest of Neillsville, for several years before his retirement. The past year he had made his home in Humbird.

Surviving are two brothers, Sidney Collins, Loyal, and William Collins, Black River Falls. His brothers, Robert and Clarence are deceased as are his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Clara Albrecht) Collins.
