Rohland, Brenda (30 Jan 1976)

An evening candlelight ceremony united Miss Brenda Rohland and Lynn Spath on Friday, January 30th, 1976, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee. Pastor Lloyd Yaggie performed the ceremony, and the organ music was rendered by Miss Louise Hansen, who accompanied the soloist, Miss Kathy Boening, who sang “We Have Just Begun” and Mel Rohland who sang “The Lord’s Prayer.”

The bride was attired in an ivory satin gown trimmed in lace with a train. Her ivory veil was trimmed also in lace, and she carried a bouquet of gardenias.

Attending the bride as maid of honor was Miss Julie Oehler, Withee, and bridesmaid was Kathy Boening, Withee. Their gowns were blue crepe, trimmed with lace and had matching jackets. They carried a single long stemmed red rose.

The miniature bride was Carrie Gonnering of Marshfield, who was dressed identical to the bride. The miniature groom was Darrin Luedke.

Attending the groom as best man was Michael Marty, and groomsman was Tom Fritsche of Dorchester. The groom and attendants were seen in smoky brown leisure suits.

Following the wedding, a dinner and reception were held at the Meadowview Country Club in Owen.

Following a wedding trip, which took them to Florida, the newlyweds are making their home on route 1, Stetsonville.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Rohland, Withee, a 1975 graduate of Owen-Withee High School, and employed at I.T.T. Thorp.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Spath of Stetsonville, and attended the Medford High School, graduating in 1973. He is a self-employed farmer at Stetsonville.
