Redig, Karen Kay (6 November 1976)

St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville was the setting for the November 6 wedding of Karen Kay Redig, and Ronald James Sterzinger. The Rev. Joseph Henseler officiated at the 1;30 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter L. Redig, Rt.1 Marshfield, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Sterzinger, Rt. 2 Colby. Afterward a reception and a dance were held at the Charolais Supper Club, Marshfield.

The bride appeared in a chapel length gown of silk organza with full train trimmed with Venise lace. Her Camelot headpiece held a fingertip veil of sheer illusion. She carried an arrangement of red roses and pink and white carnations surrounded by baby’s breath as she was presenting in marriage by her brother, Walter Redig, Jr.

Mrs. Harry Dean, Milwaukee, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Debra Boushon, Marshfield, and Miss Donna Sterzinger, Colby. Their lace-trimmed, A-line gowns were fashioned in shades of peach, blue and lavender. Peach and blue carnations and lavender pompons with white baby’s breath formed their bouquets.

The groom was attended by Willie Mason, La Crosse, as bestman and by Leon Lueddecke, Dorchester, and Robert Redig, Marshfield, as groomsmen. Dennis Redig served as usher.

Music was by Ronald Resong.

The bride attended Marshfield Senior High School. Her husband graduated from Colby High School in 1974 and is employed as a spot welder at a filter manufacturing plant in Neillsville.

The newlyweds, who plan a honey moon later, are living at Pine Valley Suburban Court, rural Neillsville.
