Miss Cheryl Jean Redig became the bride of Lee D. Miller, Jr., in a 6:30 p.m. ceremony performed Friday, December 3, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church by the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff. A reception was held afterward at the home of Kathleen and Richard Quast on Rt. 2, Neillsville.

The bride is the daughter of the late Elmer, Sr., and Mary Ann Redig who lived on Rt. 2 Spencer. Lee, Sr., and Carolyn Miller of Neillsville are the groom’s parents.

For her wedding, the bride chose a simple, totally feminine gown of polyester knit featuring smocking detail and long, full sleeves. A queen’s crown of orange blossoms held her fingertip veil of French illusion. A cascade arrangement of large white chrysanthemums accented with red tea roses, baby’s breath and trailing ivy formed her bouquet.

Sharin Ann Engevold, Spencer and Paul Needham, Loyal, were the attendants. The matron of honor’s back-tied, floor length gown of garnet red nylon velour was styled with a square neckline, off-white lace bodice insert, and hemline ruffling. She carried a single large white chrysanthemum with red tea roses and baby’s breath.

The bride graduated from Loyal High School and is employed as a medical assistant at the Neillsville Clinic. She was honored by co-workers there at a prenuptial shower. Her husband graduated from the same school; he is employed by a local foundry.

The newlyweds, who plan a wedding trip for a later date, are living on East Sixth St. in Neillsville.
